man, this article rules!

Both fascism and communism are based on Athiesm.

Most criminals are atheists, or, conversely, most atheists (ie all of them!) are criminals (they just haven’t all been caught yet).

proof that mindia wrote this article, or maybe lyion

One of the most annoying things about Atheists is that their mad lack of belief actually makes them feel somehow superior to real American Christians. Rejecting decent honest faith and belief they use things like a reliance on “scientific methodology”, “reasoned argument”, “historical evidence”, “documentary proof” and “logic” to baffle and confuse. Instead of accepting the obvious reality that the Bible is God’s word, they try to claim that the Gospels were written hundreds of years after the death of Jesus, that there were hundreds of other similar books rejected by committee at something called the council of Nicea and that most of the New Testament was compiled out of political expediency. They say that many of the Jesus stories existed long before Jesus was said to have been alive and that most of his sayings and parables aren’t that impressive anyway. They are wrong.

If you're going to entitle your article 'The truth about Atheism exposed', you shouldn't contradict yourself right off the bat in the first paragraph -- it's hard to actively hate something if you don't believe it exists.

Though in the second paragraph, the author seems quite proud to announce that hate itself is alive and well.

I skimmed the rest since it's pretty much totally apocryphal and aggrandized hyperbole.

The author of that no doubt attends the Landover Baptist Church, and has The Onion as their primary news source.

It's almost as if... he is trying to show how funny it is that people follow this shit. Or even better, to show how people who dont follow this shit take opinions such as those seriously.

Oh my gosh, I just totally misread it. I'll have to revisit it with a different mindset, I'm sure I'll find it hilariously funny.

Now regarding the Landover Baptist Church, that's just wrong, and it's an affront to civilized society that places like that are allowed to exist.

Uh.... The Landover Baptist Church is "The Onion" of Christian sites.

How many real Christian churches would sell you a "What Would Jesus Do" thong?

It's NOT those crazy asshats that protest funerals.

I knew (prior to posting) that Landover is a parody of Xtian extremism. Since I hadn't heard of Landover before, I wiki'd it. So in referring to Landover, I was being deliberately facetious. Or not, depending on whether one considers discussion of parody "serious" discussion.

But the Onion is actually funny sometimes.

The ShellytheRepublican site wasn't funny to me. At all.

So therein lies my difficulty. I'm not sure why I would find one funny and the other not, since they're employing similar comedic devices and styles.

Maybe I need to lighten up. Arooo!

But then I might harm someone.

Or worse yet, cause myself to be harmed by someone else. No, we'd better leave that chip out for now.

Please don't shoot me!
