I must disagree. Calvin & Hobbes is the SECOND greatest Comic Strip of all time.

THE greatest is, of course, Bloom County.

Far Side would be 3rd.

Actually, if you look in the archives of the blog he posts with the comics, Kurtz is a huge fan of the guy who drew Bloom County, and considers him a major influence.
