I'm really disappointed about them cancelling Warhammer online.. that game looked sickass pimpshit. I don't give a fuck about EQ2, and don't care much about WoW. I think Wow might manage to keep my attention a bit longer than diablo II, but thats about it. The whole game looks too damn simplistic.

Ditto. I was really stoked about Warhammer. I'm in WOW beta, and while it's fun and rights a lot of EQ wrongs, its essentially EQ done correctly. I'm not sure if I'm really interested in doing EQ again.

No, I really won't. I am done with online gaming. I loved original EQ due to the people, the being lost in a big world feel, the being a complete noob to a MMO, I can never get that feeling back of seeing gods among men walking around me in Full Plate duel wielding SSoYs. I was thinking of WoW, but the game has been over hyped, and I know no mater what I do, I won't get that old first year of EQ feeling back.

One thing that has kept my interest in EQ, was that after 4+ years of off and on playing I still don't know every zone, every strategy needed to be successful, and have much much much left to do. Not to mention for every enounter there are many different ways to approach it, which adds a complexity to the game that I enjoyed.

Now I look at WoW and the blizzard website makes it look like each class get 15-20 spells. I enjoy playing casters, but having only 15-20 spells leads me to believe that there is really very little in the way of strategy and versatility to the classes. Meaning ,a simple game ie Diablo-like. While fun for a time, ends up being more of a click-fest than anything.

Am I wrong? Also, can this game be owned by a zerg guild?

Have you started looking for guilds yet Zennish? I am looking to find a hardcore guild to start with in that game. (They say that it is tailored towards the casual player, but I am willing there will be content for the hardcore). I have checked out a few of the prospective guilds and some seem fun. I would much prefer to join some familiar faces from The Nameless though, especially if they are interested in doing endgame stuff as fast as possible. WoW is looking too good.

Only way I would play is if WoW completely tanks and all the people that are playing EQ2 that played EQ1 on the higher end said that they got thier shit together. I cant see me playing another game that has potential of putting out shit like Gates.

After buying and playing SWG and seeing what they did with that piece of Sh$t I seriously doubt Im going to invest the $2500.00 it will take for me to buy EQ2.
