Sentro, any idea how well the new vehicles that can withstand IED's fair against EFP's?

EFP's still rip right through our shit. Its like fucking a gun going threw paper still stand no chance. Sorta sucks to see what it can do to you, and you half the time dont even see it coming.

They have made more advances in detection than not getting us killed when we see it. But there is always new armor and stuff comin out so im hoping that it will change for us. If we can stop the EFP there is not much that can hurt us inside the vehicle since EFP is the only one that can for the most part.

As much as I think the war is wrong on many levels, this is one of those dug your grave now die in it statements. I agree with you though, and can only imagine your daily anxiety.

However our presence in Iraq or lack of it, would not make a threat here any greater or less. In fact I think this war has made threats here far greater. You make it sound as if we don't have our own Al-crazy cells here. I thought the past few terrorist busts in both the UK and the US are from our own citizens. This war has created something out of nothing and that something is hate. We've created a hate that our own citizens feel they must act against. This hate wouldn't exist had we not created it.

Now as for these efp, ied, etc. You know necessity is the mother of invention (or however it goes), whatever the US does to protect the troops invention will nullify to complete the task at hand. If the enemy wants to kill you and the best effort on their part is EFP's, the US would be foolish to think more armor is going to "fix" it. All it will do is force the creation of EFP rev2.0.

There is no good way to handle what has been done, we are screwed regardless, there will be no trophies at the end of this game.

Side note, I also agree with Lyion and Iran should be dealt with using covert ops type activities, any sort of invasion tactic would be 100% fool hardy, however if history has anything to say about it, Bush will probably invade before his term is done LOL

As incoherently as that was stated I still agree with the underlying premise. I most definitely feel that the war in Iraq has made us significantly less safe than before. Indeed, I think the collective damage it has done to America on a variety of levels is near incalculable at this time, and will only be truly able to be determined 20+ years from now. Oh and yes, I consider historians 50-100 years from now to have a similar low opinion of Bush as we have of Taft or Coolige, and if he's not as reviled as Buchanan, well, he won't be far off.

I find it hugely hilarious that politicians can run apeshit while we disagree with everything they do.

Yes and no, while they will make that 2.0 version we will still get that 1.1-1.9 while they are fixing there shit up and that gives us maybe a month or two where they dont know how to deal with our shit. Only if they could cool down the 2200 degrees coming in at me at really fast speeds before it got to the last bit of armor. Not sure how to do it but shit there are alot of smart people out there that might know how.

I also agree with making a hate out of nothing, i know most people dont like the US but they would not go as far to attack it. I would say now tho that if we are not here it would come back to the states because the hate is now there for more that just the Al-crazy as you called it.

However our presence in Iraq or lack of it

I would agree with the lack there of. We were talking to a camal hurder and he was just talking to us we gave him some food at water for him and his family. 3 days later we see him out there he wont talk to us other to tell us that Al-crazy came but and buttstroked his 5 year old girl in the head. I dont think i have felt that crappy in a long time. The fact that i cant help these people and that is my job and when they just talk to us to get some food and we get very little info back from them and thier kids get fucked up for it. But the brits are to be blamed for that one keeping us on such a tight leash.

The defeatist attitude is reprehensible... they will build a better rocket so why try to improve our defense really pisses me off. Of course we would be safer if we rolled over and submitted to the enemy... oh noes they counter our defenses.. SURRENDER NOW so they won't kill us this minute... they'll wait until they've wiped Israel from the map, then they will be free to concentrate on us. They of course won't and can't hope for a military victory, but a political one. One need only to look like groups like CAIR to see that the battle can be one with political bullshit and political correctness.

Oh btw don't mind me I'm extremely intoxicate atm friends birthday, bottle of Tequila wow I spelled Tequila right on the first try, anyway yea I'm versnikered so my rant should be interesting to read in the morning.

I should log onto Travian and tell that fucker King exactly what I think of his threat of war...

Side note I can hear the birdies singing outside... perhaps that means I should head to bed.

Posting drunk on the internet is not your strong suit.

You at least have to say that you would lick someone's inner thighs, either Harrison's, Gargamellow's, or [insert NT persona here].

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert visited Washington yesterday and met with US President George W. Bush to finalise plans for a joint US-Israel strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Talking to reporters at a joint press conference Bush once again re-iterated his position on military strikes against Iran by saying "I will tell you this, that my position hasn't changed, and that is all options are on the table."

All options meaning nuclear proliferation.

Olmert also met with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to obtain their broad support for military action against Iran.

Pelosi's comments welcoming the Prime Minister indicate that he is likely to get the backing he is seeking from the Congress.

“With the Republican and Democratic leaders gathered here, you see how strong the bipartisanship is for a great U.S.-Israel relationship," Pelosi said.

Iran has also accused the US of carrying out covert operations aimed at destabilising the country.

A few days ago the USS Enterprise carrier strike group was sent to the middle east... that will make 3 in the area.

Edit: my statement about the carrier it's self is incorrect, apparently it is only the strike group minus the carrier that is on the way, not that it can't catch up however.
