At the end of the day I respect Toss and would have a beer with him any day and shoot the breeze. I have several real life friends who hold the same position as him. I like good discussions, and there are too few people on this board who are serious and intense like T is, but at the same time can see the big picture and compartmentalize a debate vs a person.

Back on message.. HD DVD wtfpwned hard again.. Blu-ray once again massively pulls ahead. The millions of Blu-ray players worldwide versus the less than 1/10th amount of HD DVD players out there.

Sony, locked in battle with Microsoft Corp and Nintendo Co Ltd in the global videogame market, suffered a slow start for the PS3 after its launch a year ago because of high prices and a scarcity of strong game titles.

Wow, I bet they must have like a 10-1 lead in Blu-Ray sales now, right? Huh? Less than 2-1? You mean the BR attach rate is less than .25 now? Holy shit... Sony must be taking it up the ass HARD. I know this is supposed to be a HD-DVD/BR thread but the 360 still outsold the PS3 almost 3-1 even with the price cut. That's gotta make you feel good.

Too bad the 360 has nothing to do with a Blu-ray vs HD DVD, except for the 15 people who bought the HD addon.
Meanwhile, more and more Blu-ray capable machines keep hitting the market, widening the gap of households that can play BR vs the few that can play HDDVD.
Christmas will widen that gap immensely more as the PS3 sales go up.
