In all seriousness, I would if I could get there lol

Being far, far away from here would probably be the best thing that ever happened to me.

Make it work somehow. Don't wait around wishing things would magically change for you, make the changes on your own. If you TRULY want to do it, you will.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

Find something you're interested in. Find a school or technical institute that teaches or trains for that, and that offers financial aid. (pretty much all colleges will do this). Apply, and apply for the financial aid. Make sure the place you're applying is AWAY from where you are. Even if it's close by in like Rhode Island or Maine or something, it's got to be better than where you're at now.

Don't get jaded so young. I am pretty sure I did and it might be the reason I've failed to keep a relationship, but do the smart thing and listen to what the older, wiser folks tell you. Don't be hard-headed and argumentative and don't make excuses. They lead to more excuses.

You're young, handsome and smart enough to know better. Be careful not to get caught up with the wrong folks. Most importantly, remember that you deserve someone who is awesome. When you truly believe that, she will come into your life.

I've learned a good lesson in knowing that things don't happen *to* us. Things happen. It's how we deal with those things that matters the most. You can make things easier, or harder for yourself.

I realize it's easy to say these things when you're not *in* the situation, believe me. In getting caught up with my own emotions, I failed for a long time to see people for what they truly were. I lost faith in myself. Without getting that faith back, I might not have ever seen it. Your circle of influence is the most important thing in your life, aside from your self-perception, and one will affect the other, if you're not careful. This can even apply to family.

Be true to yourself and don't lower your standards for anyone. Timing is everything. I do wish you the best of luck, cause I know how much this bullshit can suck and because everyone deserves to be happy.

Oh, and you know what else? Alex recently reminded me of this...

I used to be the kind of person that would just fucking write people off for treating me badly. Somehow I became more passive, though I didn't know it. Lately, I realized it (Alex sorta reminded me) and you know? There is something to be said for that. Fucking WRITE THEM OFF. And that's that.

Best advice ever

So many people I know sit around doing the same thing day in and day out waiting for something to fall into their laps.... you gotta go out and grab life by the throat

I've been doing pretty good on that front. I didn't get this well in shape by accident. I had to completely change my daily routine and stick to it for months.

Some shit you just can't change though, nor avoid. I always come through the other side better anyways. It just fucking blows while I'm in it.

sorry....I didn't mean to use that on this board

Another board I visit uses a big red X whenever they agree with a post. Then Jerry on BB did his sooper seeecret X signal and it quickly became the de facto big red X.
