So, I had a 20K fall in Velks due to a bug (actually fell 1 level) and petitioned the problem. As you know, you can't file a petition unless you search the knowledge base now, so I did that too. In the knowledge base it said to post a report on the issue, so i did that before i posted the petition. A GM closed by ticket 2 days later saying he couldn't find the report. So I reopened the ticket and 2 days later I'm online and the GM adds comments to the ticket that he can't rez me, but doesn't say a word to me. Luckily I got a message that changes had been made to my petition, and sent him a tell. This is a screenshot of the conversation.
When I said "I'm gonna do something here, just to show you that I do have a corpse" , i Consented the GM to drag my corpse. So he got a message that said You have been given permission to drag Unkynd's corpse in Velketor's Lab. The customer service ROCKS in EQ! /sarcasm off[/img]
Had a similar issue in PoK... 20Ked while coming down the ramps from the library... had fallen like 2 feet. I did the same thing - look up the knowledgebase crap and then /reported.
My petition was closed because my /report didn't have the 20K showing... too much spam in PoK had knocked it off the screen before I got done searching the gay fucking knowledgebase... so no GM rez for me... luckily, since it's PoK I was able to get a regular rez.
They have tee-totally fucked over customer service. The Guides that used to have the power do not have the power anymore. If a guide+ is going to right clicky rez you, it has to go through a GM (don't get the two confused-there's a difference) first. Only once it is approved by a GM can they right clicky rez you.
That answers why he can't just go to you and rez ya anyways..
As for the ticket situation..that too is a clusterfuck. Half the time these CSRs flipping through the petitions don't even read the fucking things very closely.
It helped as far as being able to deal with things while you were offline, but by stripping away Guide powers and making them run to the boss for every issue other than handing out a fucking sandwich or some valtrons they have wrapped the system up in WAY too much red tape.

Yeah join the guide program and you get to run around and role play (to a bunch of unappreciative punks) or be a part of answer circles. It isn't like it used to be. They took all the fun out of it. You don't even get to answer petitions anymore. Yay more red tape.
They did lighten up on the NLZs though. =) The rewards for the events need to be completely overhauled. The crap they give away was cool about 3 years ago...maybe..

You should have gotten an inactive account email and gotten it shut down, thats what happened with mine when I got pissed off at them for being stupid.
what's interesting is my play account recently went back to privelaged status and I stopped getting billed .. even though I quit my guide character about 6 months ago, and at the time lost privelaged status. /shrug
Maybe they made some changes when they rehauled what guides do or whatever
