When I see an actual beta report from a non SOE employee I'll consider pre ordering.

For now it remains Vaporware.

I did the preorder thing and got my disc already for the character creation its pretty cool the game looks amazing. Hey baddwin always a pleasure to see you around.

Looks like a nerfed pair of jboots might be nice to help you escape as a noob though.

OMG - they've not even released the game yet and their already giving out JBoots.... this game is gonna suck soooo hard.... their BUYing players now.

Seems like good marketing to me. City of Heroes did something similar with its pre release, and it shouldn't be game impacting.

Its strange they're promoting pre orders when the games not even in beta, though.

Obviously another person who doesn't read things and just can't wait to jump on a forum and spout off.

Its a noobie pair of boots with a small burst of speed.

It's called a promotional offer to try to create intrest in a product, most successfull companies do it.

Ok...So you get jboots for one of your chars, with your starter kit. So i'm assuming you get a starter kit with every new char you make. So..First char you make, bam theres your jboots. 2 secs later you realize you dont like him, woops too fucking bad. Need to be able to choose the char you want the Jboots on.

Most likely the same as the items you got with expansions...there was a code you put in.
