. Any candidate no matter what their political affiliation, is going to have some sort of baggage. Furthermore, Gingrich was an advisor, not a cash-grabber.

Fairly big difference in taking money as a private citizen consultant (which is done routinely), and taking money as a legislator/executive who then crafts legislation giving the company billions in a bailout.

Massive difference, yes. And Gingrich's IQ is probably double than obammy's.

Sig bet? Nah, I have the best sig on the planet, but I'll have a gentleman's bet with you on it. Look, FPb promised to help fix the economy when he was stumping in '08. Not only did he NOT help the economy, he made it worse to the tune of over 4 trillion dollars. Unemployment went UP since he took office. His foreign policy is atrocious. He raped the military budget. He raped our space program. He appointed a fucking loser with no bench experience (Elena Kagle) to the Supreme Court. He's engaged in numerous shady business transactions, making his friends richer. His close friends and associates are fellow constitution-stomping communists, ig: Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, George Sorous, and others. He implemented a STUPID health care reform bill that is unconstitutional. His whole mantra is about income redistribution. In short, the mother fucker hasn't done anything right. The American people know this and they're not gonna put up with it any longer. And let's not forget about his horse-toothed hypocritical wife who preaches that we should be eating carrot sticks, while she's macking down on fries, cheeseburgers and milk shakes. Yeah, I'll take you up on a bet.

He raped the military budget

Really? I would have swore we were spending more on the military than any other 10 countries combined and its a huge waste of fuckin money.

Also where is this wealth redistribution you are speaking of and what is it ? By wanting to tax the richest % a bit more and wanting to get rid of Bushes tax cuts ?

He's engaged in numerous shady business transactions, making his friends richer

Come on dont be a hack this is everyone in washington no matter what the name is or what the party they come from. Its what a big part of that ows movement that you dont seem to understand is about.

As far as fixing the conomy goes its kind of hard to undue the damage that has been done to it over the past 30 years over night. Yes Clinton and Bush helped lay the ground work for an epic mess that is going to take years to clean up.

He appointed a fucking loser with no bench experience

Hack trolling

His close friends and associates are fellow constitution-stomping communists

More intellectual dishonesty. Look I get it you dont like him, I am far from his biggest fan and think he is a weak leader But that is just partisan shit talking.

last but not least as far as health care goes I will answer that with a question of my own. If a mother fucker gets sick with something that can be cured but he lost his job or is just barely getting by should we let that man die ? Healthcare in our country i a nightmare where the ceos are walking away with tons of money . people are being under covered and in general it costs a fortune. Something has to be done about it but his gift to the HCP industry by making everyone buy shitty insurance isnt the answer.

None of that was trolling. Look up how much experience behind the bench Elena Kagle has. The only bench shes ever sat on was a park bench. She's a communist lesbian with an agenda. Anyway, you'll sew what happens in 2012. Oh, and read about obammy's willingness to climb aboard the UN's global gun ban. It's frightening.

that article wrote:Closure

Criticism of the agency was fueled by Fat City, a 1980 book by Donald Lambro that was regarded favorably by the Reagan administration; it called OTA an "unnecessary agency" that duplicated government work done elsewhere. OTA was abolished (technically "de-funded") in the "Contract with America" period of Newt Gingrich's Republican ascendancy in Congress.

At the time that 104th Congress withdrew funding for OTA, it had a full-time staff of 143 people and an annual budget of $21.9 million. The Office of Technology Assessment closed on September 29, 1995. The move was criticized at the time, including by Republican representative Amo Houghton who commented at the time of OTA’s defunding that "we are cutting off one of the most important arms of Congress when we cut off unbiased knowledge about science and technology."

Critics of the closure saw it as an example of politics overriding science and a variety of scientists such as biologist PZ Myers have called for the agency's reinstatement.

oh yeah and then there's this:

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/mortgag ... lators-bay

an AP article from December 2008 wrote:The Bush administration and Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan were sounding the alarm about the potential threat to the nation's financial health if the fortunes of the two mammoth companies turned sour. They did eventually, when they took on $1 trillion worth of sub-prime mortgages and when their traditional guarantee business deteriorated. Commercial banks regarded Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae as competitors and were anxious to pick up business that would result from scaling back the two companies.

Pushing back, Freddie Mac enlisted prominent conservatives, including Gingrich and former Justice Department official Viet Dinh, paying each $300,000 in 2006, according to internal records.

Gingrich talked and wrote about what he saw as the benefits of the Freddie Mac business model.

huh, that's weird, because:

http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Latest-New ... consulting

this article from the CSMonitor wrote:In last Wednesday's Republican presidential debate, Gingrich sought to explain his role at Freddie Mac as that of an "historian" sounding dire warnings about the company's future. He said Freddie Mac officials told him "we are now making loans to people that have no credit history and have no record of paying back anything, but that's what the government wants us to do." He said his advice was to tell them, "this is insane."

one more time, let's line these two statements up:

Newt 2006 wrote:Gingrich talked and wrote about what he saw as the benefits of the Freddie Mac business model.

Newt 2011 wrote:Gingrich sought to explain his role at Freddie Mac as that of an "historian" sounding dire warnings about the company's future.

Each new president inherits a mess and then adds even more to the national debt. FPb takes no responsibility for his reckless spending, and blames the country's woes on Bush. Furthermore, Newt gets criticized for what he does and doesn't do, says and doesn't say, etc so I just have to roll my eyes at his disingenuous critics too. Newt will run this country a LOT better than FPB, on every conceivable level. Does he walk on water? No. Is he going to give me everything I want out of a president? No, but he'll give 65-70% of what we want and need, vs ZERO percent from FPb.

economically, that's rightfully so.

"Deficits don't matter" is what Cheney said. The right is opposed to tax and spend policies, and yet for 8 years under a "conservative" president we had spend and spend some more policies. Do you think it's worse to tax and spend or spend without a means of covering that debt?

You can't spend, then give unprecedented tax breaks that benefit the wealthy more than any other class and aid in depleting the middle class, then spend some more. For six years while republicans held the majority and the presidency, Bush vetoed one bill.. one. And what was that veto? Against stem cell research. So much for checks and balances.

Let's think of this on a smaller scale. If you took your own personal credit card and maxed it out, then to pay for it you used another credit card, then you took a significant pay cut at work, what exactly do you think happens your bills come due?

I agree that Bush spent like a drunken sailor, but so did the rest of them. However, on social issues, FPb gets a /fail in addition to the fiscal /fail and the foreign policy/relations /fail. Do you really want more of that?

On social issues such as...? And how does he fail on foreign relations?

I'm disappointed with him fiscally only in regards to extending EGTRRA and JGTRRA and I think he could've gotten more done fiscally prior to the mid-term elections that he missed the bus on. I usually find myself in agreeance with him on most social issues (I need you to specify which social issues before I can respond in depth), and foreign relations is a pretty broad scope too that I can't really respond to unless I know specifically what you're referring to.

Rand Paul lays it out very well here: http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Barack_Obama.htm. That's why this despicable assclown needs to GTFO of the white house before he does even more damage.

Obama's biggest failure was trying to compromise with dumb fucks who had no intention of ever compromising to begin with. They've spent every single day since he was elected trying to stop ANY progress he may have made. He should have railroaded as many policies through as possible as soon as he was elected instead of playing even a single minute of lip-service to these fucks.

This is the problem I have in discussing issues with you though, Erik. I don't care what Rand Paul says about him (though the link you provided isn't Rand Paul's website? ontheissues.org is a non-partisan site who aims to disclose stances of all incumbents).

If you have such a huge problem with him, I want to hear you in your own words express your disappointment with the specific legislation you have a problem with instead of the broad generalized statements of how terrible he is with no explanation. I can read websites all on my own and see what other people think about him. If I'm talking to you, I want your stances, not parroted outrage of talking heads.
