Have read most of the thread and basically I can say this... If it wasn't for Everquest nobody would be posting here period. The game in itself regardless of who distributed or is currently distributing it was revolutionary and before it's time. Now with the countless other companies fighting for your subscriptions have released many other titles out there because Massive Online Games have a great market. But the fact remains we have all played Everquest and with the 2nd generation of Massive Online Games on the horizon they are sure to grasp the next 6 months at least of our time and depending on which is truely more your cup of tea, may in fact immerse you into a fantasy world that you can grow to enjoy and share with your close friends. For those who have been fortunate to partake in the beta-testing series of World of Warcraft Online or Everquest 2 must understand that testing is testing and things are clearly being made better so the release are as clean as possible... can we expect a perfect game of this size and nature .... no way, but can we expect alot of fun and new content in a brand new world with brand new people ... Hell yes. I would love to try out both games and enjoy the years of programming each has recieved to be better then all of the other competition but I'm affraid I'm going to stick with EQ for now
