To answer your second paragraph... Yeah, it does kind of make you look like a shit-stain to be honest. If I were an employer I wouldn't hire you. And I certainly wouldn't let someone who looks like you date my daughter. You're letting music and pop-culture dictate the direction your life is taking you. That is not an intelligent thing to do, imo.

So here's my story. I have my ears pierced, and I have a tongue ring. I spent 4 years of my life constantly dying my hair crazy colors. I didn't do any of this out of pop-culture influence. I did it because I wanted it. And even despite my hair color or piercings, I graduated from a prestigious 4-year university with honors, was on the deans list every semester, and am now working as a loan officer for a multi-national corporation. All of this was done with crazy hair color and piercings.

Don't be so quick to judge people by what they look like. Looks are decieving. I have become a very successful person, despite the changes I make to my physical self, and any non-judgemental human being can see past that.
