What someone says may not be right, but it is their *right* to say it. I may not agree with what someone has to say about one person or another, but they are free to express their views. If you wanted to start a topic about chicken fucking you're free to do so. Most of us won't read it but hey.
If the patrons of this forum decided they wanted a Nambla section then sure it's fine. I may choose to find somewhere else to get youtube links, but it's up to the community. Hell if it offends people that much, just start putting a (RM) tag on topics to warn people there's racist material to follow. That way you can choose to practice self-censorship.
Well, I think my view point is the best and will continue to think that way until someone shows me a better way.

You can't please everyone all the time. The Constitution grants us free speech and you can't expect the Constitution to make an apology when an ignorant person abuses this right by using racial slurs.
Reminds me of the story I heard on the radio a few years ago. A legal organization (they were white supremacists) adopted a highway and drivers who saw the sign and knew of the organization complained and did not want the name of their organization on the side of the highway.
Reminds me of the Confederate Flag. It was taken down because too many people were offended. Were they *really*? Did they know why the flag was there, where it came from and what it stood for? Doesn't matter now, the fact that it offended someone was just too much, nevermind the people who cared about it for what it was truly a symbol of.

Sure and even though I don't agree, at the end of the day, whoever pays the bills gets to make the rules. The management have the power to stop whatever they wish, but half the fun of this board is all the different views and opinions. Start blocking out certain thoughts and every topic just becomes links to CNN and youtube. Getting rid of one word wont do that, but if one block is allowed, what's next?

and for anybody talking about the "good old days" of the NT, you're looking at it through rose coloured glasses. There may have been a lot of flaming in the rants and flames section, but there has always been moderation. Back on kayla's original NT, to uggmo's moderation, barnabuss, to now, there has always been limitations on what was acceptable in certain forums.

Touche. Ok, then it would seem to me that censoring certain words isnt really the answer. Maybe the admins just need to step up their punishing of infringments a bit more. If there are rules, then enforce them. THEN no one can cry about censorship or racism because it is just a matter of the forum rules being enforced, which everyone should have read when they signed up. (And those who have been here for a while should know the rules anyway). Then, everyone wins... no censorship and no racism running amuck. AND the admins get to have fun with their admin abilities! Double bonus!
