A pumpkin carving contest, between now and November 1st. You can make anything you want, but somehow relating it to NT and its history would make things more interesting. We can make a poll and vote on the winner at the end. All you have to do is take a picture of your pumpkin with your name/NT alias seen somewhere in the photo as proof it is yours, and post it in this thread.
Would anyone be willing to give it a shot?

I have a family based competition every year. I'll post up the pumpkins but they won't be NT "connected", sorry :\

I have the one, yes, but I probably never carved one with him cause I don't even know how to do it myself =\
plus I never wanted to deal with what's inside. seems like too much trouble.

psh, you dont even live in a cold climate. at least the goo will be warm.
you cut a hole in the top around the stalk thing big enough to get your arm inside. insert your knife at an angle so it will sit right without falling into the empty pumpkin. scoop out the pumpkin goo and seeds, throw goo onto newspaper. get a big spoon and scrape the inside good, especially important with really thick fleshy pumpkins. throw shaved fleshy shit onto news paper. wrap up newspaper and throw fleshy shit and goo and seeds away. draw your design on whichever surface is best for carving. cut along the lines. insert candle through hole in the top. light candle. replace top.
there ya go, jack-o-lantern 101.

and if you're really crafty like, you can save the seeds and salt em and bake em. but i think pumpkin seeds are kinda gross myself.

I'm going to a pumpkin carving contest where everyone carves their pumpkin underwater (scuba). Should be hilarious.
