Except you were talking about how Obama has trampled your rights. How, exactly, did he do so when all those regulations you mention are California specific?

Also, universal background checks, as well as keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill or those suspected of working with terrorists has an 80%+ approval level in both the GOP and the Democrats. Why is this a problem to get done? Why should anyone protest about making sure that bad people can't actually buy firearms, and only good people can?

Their next step is to bring the second amendment into question to the courts. Failed economic policies? Have you looked at the economy now compared to when Obama took office? It is, by almost every single measure, better than even McCain was promising he could achieve during the 2008 campaign. Yes, there is still more work to do. But perhaps if the GOP had not simply been the party of "no" for 8 years that got hijacked by the fanatical far right, we might have been able to make more progress.

And no, I don't think either Obama or Hillary are chomping at the bit to take guns away. I think those are paranoid fantasies with absolutely no basis in reality whatsoever. And for the record, I absolutely support a 10 round magazine limit, if we're talking about CA restrictions. There is no valid reason whatsoever for a civilian to need a magazine larger than that, just like there's no civilian need for automatic weapons or a bazooka. So, no, I don't "know it" at all.

And hey, what is Trump hiding in his tax returns? Why won't he release them, like every other presidential candidate has done for decades? And don't give me that "under audit" bull, the IRS and every single lawyer out there (including ones I know personally) have said that there is no reason whatsoever why an audit would prohibit him from releasing them.
