I sincerely hope and pray that the teaching of Creationism wins, hands down.

It's not a trial, it's a hearing by the Kansas BoE.
If they want to teach about the Christian creation myth in Science class, they're going to get their asses handed to them by the courts. If they want to teach some kind of comparative religion class, I'll volunteer to teach a week on Zen Buddhism, and a week on the Norse Gods - you can teach a week on Christians, then we can get Ganzo to come in and do Orthodox Judaism. Lyion would, I'm sure cover Catholicism (then Arlos can come in and do Lapsed Catholicism.
).
Who wants to do: Islam, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Wiccan, Druidism, Greek Gods, etc? Volunteers?
I look forward to the day they point out the Biblical Flood story is a rehash of the Babylonian epic of Gilgamesh stolen and re-written by the Jews....

First of all... SDA is not a religion. It's a denomination of the Protestant Christian religion... a sect thereof.
Second of all, Muslims have the Quran, not the Bible.
Thirdly, Christians and Jews believe in the same creation story. It starts in Genesis in the Old Testament.
Fourth, to answer your question on which Bible to use? Well obviously the Bible that doesn't have the added books of the Apocrypha in it.
And I furthermore believe that if parents of other religions don't want their children to be taught the truth then their child can sit out of those particular classes and learn other things.

That depends upon if the court judges are activist judges with an agenda.

By that thinking we could just say. If you dont want your childreen to learn the truth, they can just sit out of the evolution discussions.

Actually, they would get their ass handed to them in court. Its a clear violation of the constatution. The only way they could win would be for the constatution to be amended.

"Well obviously"...
What if that is what I believe in. I would want my child to learn from that one.
They should have separate classes, one teaching science based on religion and one not. (I didnt read the article...too many words... so I dont know if that is waht it is talking about or not.) And you choose at the beginning of school which you prefer to learn, that way noone is being forced to learn something that goes against what they believe in.

I would support this.
But then, I already do, my children will be home schooled AND attend a private Christian school.

They are. I'm just stirring the pot for fun
No, seriously... I'd really like to see Christianity and Creationism taught in the public school system, but that it's not mandatory for all kids to attend. Rust touched on an interesting point... and that is to have sessions where they can learn about the faith that their parents are bringing them up in.

Yes, but this was a brand new headline on the Yahoo news groups this morning.
